Happy New Year! I hope your holidays went well and actually have three important deadlines to share with you.

1. Canada Summer Jobs program is open for applications until January 20, 2017. Yes, there are only 10 calendar days left to submit your application. To make sure that you don’t miss the boat this year respond to this email and we will guide you through next steps. This program runs across Canada and pays 50% of the provincial minimum wage for each hour the summer worker works for you.

2. Export Market Access program in Ontario received very limited funding, and accepts applications only for the activities that end on or before April 30, 2017. Considering program’s 6-weeks-prior-to-the-event submission deadline you can only apply to get funding for the trade shows or trade missions that are between mid February 2017 and end of April, 2017, yes, just 2.5 months window. The program pays 50% of the trade shows and trade mission costs up to a maximum of $30,000. If your next show or mission is within the period above, please respond with the link to the event’s website and we will guide you through next steps.
3. Yves Landry Program for Southern Ontario has been re-opened. This program provides funding for skills training (software, equipment operator, lean, management skills are among eligible types) for manufacturers employing 10+ employees. But the catch is that the training must be completed by June 30, 2017. If that is the case, let us know immediately to process your application on time as it takes time for the government to process your application and there are two phases in the application process. You can get 50% back of the trainer fees and trainees’s salaries up to a maximum of $50,000.
We look forward to working with you in 2017!
Sincerely,
Igor Chigrin
