We are happy to let you know that the popular skills training funding program managed by Yves Landry Foundation is back and open for applications. Given the realities of the business during the pandemic, the program not only changed its name to AIME@Home. We noticed the following changes.
- Online and remote training is now eligible.
- Eligible companies must not necessarily be involved in international trade. Those involved in interprovincial trade are now eligible. So are the companies that need to retool or upgrade their systems and equipment to respond to the challenges of the pandemic.
- The main application must be submitted within 10 days following the approval of the preliminary application.
- The applicants that received this funding in the past 24 months can apply again and no longer have to wait.
Other than that, the AIME@Home program is still the same. It provides 50% of the skills training cost, including trainer fees and salaries of your employees during training.
Eligible companies must be the manufacturers located in Southern Ontario and employing 10-1000 full-time employees.
Typically our clients get approved for training employees in software (e.g. ERP) and equipment operation skills and learning lean techniques (6 Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, etc.). In general, the AIME@Home program supports skills training to support innovation.
