As you may know we recently exhibited at CMTS-2015. This week I wanted to tell you about some amazing technologies you can use to improve and transform your business.
1. There are different equipment vendor directories for different industries that can help you select the right piece of equipment for your business needs. For example, metalworking equipment vendor directory is here. This is an example of woodworking equipment vendor directory. There are similar ones in other industries.
2. CMTS-2015 was not only about production equipment in action but also had room for industrial robots, 3D scanners and 3D printers, material handling systems, quality control systems and conveyors. One thing that blown my mind was three robots working in synch, so there was an impression that they were dancing.
3. Multiple software solutions for the industry were represented. Starting from design software (CAD/CAM), all the way to enterprise resource planning (ERP) and shop management systems. A couple of vendors demonstrated thedashboards sourcing data directly from the equipment providing priceless business intelligence. The other interesting software solution was to replace the need of extensive labour training by demonstrating pre-recorded assembly instructions.
