Canada Summer Jobs wage subsidy closing in January

The Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Program will accept applications until 11:59 a.m. PST on January 12, 2023.

Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) provides wage subsidies to employers from not-for-profit organizationsthe public sector, and private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • project duration must be between 6 and 16 consecutive weeks
  • job hours must be full-time (30 to 40 hours per week)
  • the salary must respect minimum wage requirements in the given province or territory
  • must demonstrate health and safety practices implemented in the work environment
  • must demonstrate that hiring practices and the work environment are free of harassment and discrimination
  • must outline the supervision and mentoring plans for the youth and proposed job activities
