Canada Summer Jobs Program aims to help all young Canadians develop the skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market. To achieve this goal, the program provides the employers of young Canadians 75% of the provincial minimum wage for each hour each young employee works for the employers between April 26, 2021 and February 26, 2022.
Key eligibility criteria:
- Private sector company or not-for-profit organization must have 50 or fewer full-time employees;
- Potential hires must be young people aged 15 to 30 years, students or non-students.
Although it’s a summer program, note that application deadline is January 29, 2021.
