We share the following information on behalf of our partners. It can help those who are interested in growing business internationally and new to exporting. If it doesn’t apply to you directly, please forward to your friends or business partners.

Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, Canada’s largest industry association, currently runs the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) skills program through some offices across Canada.

The upcoming sessions will be held on Tuesday & Wednesday (August 25th & 26th) 12:00 pm (EDT) to 3 pm (EDT) in Mississauga, ON. You can register here

This two-day session will cover one of the most important but poorly understood elements of international business: trade finance. Through these sessions, participants will be able to research the trade mitigation tools available for importers and exporters, as well as the services and products that can help finance supply chains. Topics to be discussed:

  • Identifying the core concepts of financing as related to trade
  • Understanding the basics of foreign exchange and demonstrate an awareness of options in managing the associated risk
  • Leveraging the different trade finance instruments and services available for importers and exporters
  • And much more important topics

More upcoming Sessions will be listed here:   http://www.enterprisecanadanetwork.ca/english/main/export-success-program-esp-ontario-schedule.html
