If you’re in the food or agri-food technology sector and considering clean tech adoption or sustainability enhancements, we’d like to inform you that Round 2 of the Sustainable Growth and Adoption Program (SGAP) opens for applications on June 18, 2025.
This program, led by Bioenterprise Canada and funded by FedDev Ontario, offers non-repayable contributions of up to $1 00,000 to support projects that drive clean growth, sustainability, and modernization across southern Ontario’s agri-food ecosystem.
Eligibility Criteria

For-profit or not-for-profit organizations operating in the food and agri-food tech sector

Located in southern Ontario and incorporated in Canada

Minimum $200,000 in annual revenue (not required for not-for-profits)

Must collaborate with an approved Sustainability Project Partner

Able to provide a 60% cost match for project expenses (up to $150,000)
Eligible Projects
SGAP is an environmentally focused initiative designed to advance sustainability throughout the agricultural value chain and drive clean economic growth by pursuing the following goals:
- De-risk the adoption of clean technologies and the integration of sustainable practices and process enhancements;
- Accelerate sustainable business growth, expansion, and modernization;
- Reduce carbon emissions and support the transition to a green economy; and
- Create and maintain jobs.
