Ottawa is not going to stop the printing press anytime soon. Late last week the Minister of Finance announced that the Emergency Wage Subsidy program has been extended until December 19, 2020.

Furthermore, the government removes 30% reduction in revenue rule. It means that if, for example, your business had any reduction in revenue in July 2020 compared to July 2019 or the average of January and February 2020, you qualify for the emergency wage subsidy.

If your businesses had over 50% in revenue reduction, you’ll get up to 25% in a top-up subsidy in July and August 2020.
