Deadline Announced: CanExport Grant Applications Close May 31

We would like to share with you an important update — CanExport SME Grant has officially set a deadline for the current intake: applications must be submitted by May 31, 2025.

Given the impact of new U.S. tariffs and shifting global trade dynamics, having a well-planned export strategy is more essential than ever. So, if your business is planning to expand into international markets, now is the time to act.

Eligible activities and funding

CanExport Grant Funding Program provides government funding to small to medium-sized Canadian businesses for exporting their business marketing (digital including) and reimburses 50% of selected export marketing costs to a maximum of $50 K.

The costs covered include:

• Market research & competitive analysis
• Digital advertising & SEO for foreign markets
• Trade show participation, travel & B2B meetings
• IP protection and regulatory compliance

Eligibility requirements

To qualify, your business must:

• Be a for-profit company registered in Canada
• Have 1 to 500 full-time employees
• Plan to expand into a market where less than 10% of revenue currently comes from. Read the full list of eligibility requirements here.
