Whether you’re investing in equipment, technology, workforce training, export development, or business expansion, now may be a good opportunity to determine whether your project qualifies for funding.
Here’s a quick overview of some of the programs currently available.
1. AMIC, SWODF & EODF
These Ontario programs support advanced manufacturing and technology companies investing in equipment, technology adoption, facility expansion, and workforce development.
Funding: Interest-free loans covering up to 15% of eligible project costs. Grants may also be available for eligible rural and strategic investment projects.
Application deadline: September 23, 2026.
2. Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI)
Designed to help businesses respond to global trade challenges, RTRI supports projects that improve productivity, strengthen supply chains, expand into new markets, and accelerate technology adoption.
Funding: Repayable or non-repayable funding for eligible projects.
Applications accepted on a continuous basis.
3. CanExport Grant
CanExport helps Canadian businesses offset the cost of export marketing activities, including trade shows, digital advertising, market research, translations, and business travel.
Funding: Up to $50 K, covering 50% of eligible export marketing expenses.
Application deadline: August 31, 2026
4. Ontario Job Grant (OJG)
The Ontario Job Grant helps employers train existing employees or new hires to develop the skills their business needs.
Funding: Up to $10 K per trainee, with enhanced support available for eligible smaller employers and unemployed new hires.
Applications: Currently open and accepted year-round.
