The Government of Canada has announced additional funding under the Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI) to help Canadian businesses respond to global trade pressures and supply chain disruptions.
The program is now reopened for businesses in southern Ontario.
Available funding
Eligible businesses may apply for repayable or non-repayable funding, subject to program terms and conditions.
Not-for-profit organizations may apply for non-repayable funding.
Eligibility requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
• Be an incorporated business operating in southern Ontario
• Employ at least 5 full-time employees in the region
• Have fewer than 500 employees overall
The program supports businesses across multiple sectors, including steel, automotive, food security, manufacturing, and technology industries.
If your organization is responding to tariff pressures, trade disruptions, or supply chain challenges, this program may help offset a significant portion of project costs.
